Problem

• The entire roof and damaged skylight were removed.

• Three-layer chimney flashing:
• Ice & Water membrane around the chimney extending 6" up the brick.
• Step flashing installed with each shingle.
• Lead flashing used at corners and a final layer of lead counter flashing for added protection.
• Corrected the ventilation over the garage:
• Sealed off the gable vent over the garage.
• Verified that soffit vents were open and functional.
• Installed a ridge vent across the garage roof to properly exhaust air and balance the system.
• Removal of existing cupola:
• Removed the deteriorated cupola.
• Seamlessly integrated the area into the new ridge vent design for improved performance and appearance.
